Join us for the 10th Annual Amity Island 5K & Fun Run on Sunday, August 2nd, 2026, in the picturesque Edgartown, Dukes! This exciting event celebrates friendship and community by inviting participants of all ages to run or walk together in the beautiful surroundings of Katama. The 5K race kicks off at 9:00 AM at the Farm Institute, taking a scenic flat route down Edgartown Bay Road and leading to the stunning South Beach. For our younger runners, the ½ K Fun Run for kids aged 8 and under starts at 8:45 AM.
This year’s event not only promotes health and wellness but also supports local charities and island kids, making every step count! Be sure to register early as race shirts are guaranteed for the first 400 participants. Families are encouraged to join in the fun, but please remember, no dogs are allowed on the farm. Let's make the most of this fantastic day together—carpooling, biking, or taking the VTA is encouraged to make travel easier. THE COURSE STARTS AND FINISHES AT THE FARM INSTITUTE AND IS A FLAT ROUTE THAT WILL TAKE YOU DOWN EDGARTOWN BAY ROAD AND DOWN TO SOUTH BEACH. THE PROCEEDS FROM THIS RACE BENEFIT LOCAL CHARITIES AND ISLAND KIDS. GET REGISTERED ASAP TO SECURE YOUR SPOT! RACE SHIRTS ARE ONLY GUARANTEED FOR THE FIRST 400 RUNNERS.
WE ENCOURAGE FAMILIES TO RUN/WALK TOGETHER, HOWEVER SINCE IT IS A FARM, PLEASE NO DOGS! CARPOOLING IS ALSO ENCOURAGED, AS WELL AS RIDING YOUR BIKE OR TAKING THE VTA.

COURSE INFO: THE COURSE WILL START AT THE FARM INSTITUTE, TAKE A RIGHT AND FOLLOW THE BIKE PATH ALONG KATAMA RD TO THE SECOND TURN ONTO EDGARTOWN BAY ROAD. RUNNERS WILL THEN FOLLOW EDGARTOWN BAY ROAD BACK TO KATAMA RD TO THE AERO DRIVE WHERE THE FINISH LINE AWAITS. IT IS THE SAME COURSE AS PREVIOUS YEARS, JUST RUN IN REVERSE.
TRAVEL: For ferry schedules visit www.steamshipauthority.com. The ferry crossing is 45 minutes. If you are bringing a vehicle you will need a reservation, call (508) 477-8600. If you are not bringing a car you do not need a reservation.
