Honoring Their Legacy is proud to announce the 1st annual Anthony Salem
Remembrance 5K Run, Walk, and Ruck March. This event will honor the memory of
Iraq Combat Veteran Anthony Salem, who tragically lost his battle with addiction and
the hidden wounds of war on September 24, 2023.
Anthony was a beloved member of our community who used fitness to cope with his
struggles and honor his fallen comrades. This event is a way for us to celebrate his life,
raise awareness about the challenges veterans face, and provide much-needed support
to those in recovery.
Participants can choose to run, walk, or ruck march the 5K course, which will
wind through the scenic Treaty Line Trail.
All proceeds from the event will go directly to supporting veterans and individuals in
recovery at Running2BWell. Funds will be used to provide bikes, fitness clothing,
running shoes, and race entries, empowering them on their journey to healing and well-
being.
