Organiser's Description
The Arctic Bicycle Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting bicycling safety, education, and competition. Originally founded in Anchorage in the 1970s as a road cycling club, the Arctic Bicycle Club now offers a Road Racing Division, a Mountain Racing Division, and a Cyclocross Racing Division.

Cyclocross racing is family friendly, and attracts a wide range of participants, young and old, serious and not so serious. Since the courses are relatively short, they are spectator friendly, and participants often come for their own race, and stay to cheer on the other races. We have mountain bikers, road bikers, snow bikers, commuters, cyclists who consider themselves competitive and cyclists who consider themselves non-competitive, all participating.

OUT & BACK COURSE Distance: 10 miles Elev. Gain: 340ft Doing the Gold Nugget Triathlon? Moose Run is a great opportunity to test out your legs on part of the GNT course. Official race start is 12:00pm. Start times and bib pick up will be at the check in table between 10:30- 11:30am. Racers meeting 11:45am at the check in tent. Basic rules of the road: Helmets are required. No crossing the yellow line except at the turnaround. The turnaround is a neutral zone so no passing with-in 50ft on either side. We race on open roads so be aware of traffic and stay to the right as much as possible. No headphones, music, or teleporting devices allowed. The MP's will actually pull you over and give you a ticket! Time trial format means individual racers are started every 30 seconds and drafting is not allowed. -

Potter Valley Hill Climb

Two races for the price of one! For those of you that remember, Potter Valley Road wasn't always paved to the top. It's been a while since we have smashed up Classic Potter so here's your chance to test yourself against your historical records. Once you're done if you feel like you have more in the tank meet back at the start line for round two, this time to the top! Race #1 - 7:00pm classic potter which is 1.8 mile, 680 ft Race #2 - Roughly 7:30pm full course 3 miles, 1250 ft. (wait for the RD to get back down to start the second race) Parking at the Potter mailboxes. Mass start by category, start times will be posted at the check in table. Drafting is allowed, please no aero bars or TT bikes. First wave starts at 7:00pm. Registration closes race day at 5pm. No onsite registration. Check in and pick up your bib number between 5:30- 6:30pm. -

Arctic Valley Hill Climb

Distance: 5.9 miles of gravel road. Elev. Gain: 2265ft We recommend the use of a gravel or MTB bike for this race. Parking at the gravel pullout on the right-hand side of Arctic Valley rd at the base of the climb. PLEASE DO NOT PARK AT THE GOLF COURSE! The start line will be back at the Moose Run Golf Course parking lot; plan for 5-8 minutes of travel. Start 7:00pm, mass start. Registration closes race day at 5pm. No onsite registration. Grail Cup #1. Get ready to hop, bobble and slop your way across a forbidding array of Hillside hard. Roads are mostly dry, but the potholes are endless! In the ever-evolving connerie (Bernard Hinault's word, not ours) that is Potter Rabbit, we have new sectors and fresh vectors for 2025. The bunny has a longer, meaner-looking tail - because evolution is scary - adding several additional miles through the Campbell Tract and back along Basher Rd to South Bivouac, Gasline and a new finish adjacent to Hilltop parking. 23 miles in total, with 3000 feet of climbing. Boing. This is a point to point event, so plan to ride back to the start or have a mode of transpiration back to the start. Potter Rabbit Roubaix is a mixed surface event so please bring the right tool for the job. Several sections are not paved and will be quite challenging on a traditional road bike. A gravel or cross bike is recommended, but any bike is eligible. Staging TBD. Online registration closes at 5pm on race day. There is no onsite registration. Please check in between 5:30 -6:30pm. -

Talkeetna Grinder

Talkeetna Grinder returns with an epic, chunky, funky extravaganza - a wild roundtrip excursion across Talkeetna's most challenging terrain. A peak summer timeslot means no atmospheric river (gods willing - if you raced last year you know) and optimal race conditions. The full course is just shy of 80 miles and includes wide roads, narrow roads, chunky gravel and smooth, ski trail and single track, with a bit of TKA Spur pavement to knit it all together. This year we start and end on adjacent roads either side of the Spur, meaning you can collapse and begin consoling yourself with beverages immediately. This may not be Alaska's longest gravel race, but it is certainly the most varied and action packed. Come make history with us on a course that is destined to become a classic. Participants can choose between the full experience (80 miles) or the much shorter experience (25 miles). Details below. Current GPX is ridden and proofed. The course will be marked with a combination of cones, pin flags and directional signage.) There will be two Aid Stations on the course, one at the start area after the initial 25 mile out-and-back, and one at the entrance/exit to Talkeetna Lakes Park @ the Whigmi trailhead. Riders will pass by the latter twice, once when entering the ski trails and once when exiting, so miles 45 and 63 respectively. The Whigmi Trailhead aid station will have fluids only, so plan on carrying all required nutrition after mile 25. Race starts @ 12 pm. Please be sure to check in by 11:30 am. Registration closes at 9 pm the night before the race. No onsite registration. Registration limited to 100 combined participants. No categories, just two distances! -
