This run begins in Hart Memorial Park at Section 2 which is on the east end of the park near the entrance coming in from the Lake Ming side on Alfred Harrell Highway. The course is the old summer series course which goes east on the bike path behind the soccer fields and up a small hill turning just before getting to the CALM parking lot. I would describe the course as mostly flat, but moderately challenging due to the hilly section. It is also mostly on paved bike path but a section is on dirt. All proceeds from the race will go to Fast Track Lamont, a youth running club based in Lamont established by Carl Hatley in 2007 in order to take children and youth to participate in national cross country championships at various locations all over the United States. Over the years we have been able to provide opportunites for hundreds of youth to chase their dreams and expand their horizons by allowing them to not only compete on a national level but also explore museums, universities and other places of interest.
