Get ready for an exhilarating experience at the 10th annual Base 2 Space event, taking place on Sunday, September 27, 2026, in the vibrant city of Seattle, King County. This unique charity stair climb invites participants to scale the iconic Space Needle's two open-air staircases, ascending a total of 832 steps while enjoying stunning views of downtown Seattle, majestic Mt. Rainier, and the picturesque Puget Sound. With limited spots available for the first 4,000 climbers, early registration is essential—secure your place for just $76 for adults (before June 1) or $55 for youth aged 8-17.
Not only will climbers experience the thrill of reaching the top of one of Seattle's most famous landmarks, but they will also contribute to a great cause. All funds raised support Fred Hutch and the Space Needle Foundation, with a minimum fundraising requirement of $200 for adults and $100 for youth. Participants will receive a commemorative t-shirt, a finisher medal, and exclusive access to the Space Needle's indoor and outdoor observation decks, including the world's first revolving glass floor. All donations raised for this charity stair climb go to Fred Hutch and the Space Needle Foundation. To date, Base 2 Space has raised over $4.5 million for groundbreaking cancer research.
The 10th annual Base 2 Space climb takes place Sunday, September 27, 2026. All participants will receive a t-shirt, finisher medal, and access to the Space Needles indoor and outdoor observation decks, including the worlds first and only revolving glass floor.

OPENS 01 MAYEach youth climber will receive a limited edition Base 2 Space T-shirt and is required to raise a minimum of $100 through their personal fundraising page to participate in the stair climb. Climbers 10 years and younger are required to climb with a guardian. You will choose your wave start time on the next page.
