Get ready for an exhilarating experience at the 10th annual Base 2 Space event on Sunday, September 27, 2026, in the vibrant city of Seattle, King County! This unique charity stair climb invites you to conquer the Space Needle’s two open-air staircases, ascending a remarkable 832 steps while enjoying breathtaking views of downtown Seattle, the majestic Mt. Rainier, and the stunning Puget Sound.

With a registration limit of just 4,000 climbers, early registration is highly encouraged! Participants can register for only $76 before June 1, or $90 after, while youth aged 8-17 can join for just $55. A minimum fundraising requirement of $200 for adults and $100 for youth supports vital cancer research at Fred Hutch and the Space Needle Foundation. Every climber will receive a commemorative t-shirt, a finisher medal, and exclusive access to the Space Needle’s observation decks, including the world’s first revolving glass floor. Join us for a day of fitness, fun, and philanthropy as we work together to raise over $4.5 million for groundbreaking cancer research!

Scale the Space Needles two open-air staircases, taking in incredible views of downtown Seattle, Mt. Rainier, and the beauty of Puget Sound as you ascend 832 steps to the top of Seattles most iconic landmark! All donations raised for this charity stair climb go to Fred Hutch and the Space Needle Foundation. To date, Base 2 Space has raised over $4.5 million for groundbreaking cancer research.

The 10th annual Base 2 Space climb takes place Sunday, September 27, 2026. All participants will receive a t-shirt, finisher medal, and access to the Space Needles indoor and outdoor observation decks, including the worlds first and only revolving glass floor.

    You will be able to choose the racing or non-competitive staircase upon arrival. Adult registration agrees to raise a minimum of $200. You may choose your start time in the next section. Elites must be able to run a 5-6 minute mile. You will choose your wave start time on the next page.

    Each youth climber will receive a limited edition Base 2 Space T-shirt and is required to raise a minimum of $100 through their personal fundraising page to participate in the stair climb.
