Join us for the BCTC Train Together Tri Together Social Picnic on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at the beautiful Washington Crossing Park in Bucks County, PA! This vibrant event promises a day filled with camaraderie, training, and fun for all abilities. Kicking off at 7:00 AM and running until 7:00 PM, participants can enjoy a variety of chip-timed group training opportunities, including a Bowman Run/Swim/Run at 7:30 AM, a Short Run/Swim/Run at 8:30 AM, and a competitive 5K Run at 9:00 AM.
For cycling enthusiasts, there's a timed Gravel Bike/Mountain Bike/Road Bike event at 10:45 AM, followed by a Transition Clinic at 10:00 AM. The day will culminate with a delicious Pot Luck picnic starting at noon, featuring hot dogs and hamburgers provided by the club, alongside a lively corn hole tournament. Bring your friends, bring your energy, and experience the thrill of teamwork and training without the pressure of competition. Organiser's Description
This is a social event with various chip timed group training opportunities starting at General Green pavilion in Washington Crossing Park PA. We have the pavilion from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Sunday July 26th. The idea of this event is to have multiple social group training events for all abilities over multiple distances. We encourage members and potential new members to participate. We will offer discounted pricing for BCTC member and this event is open to all. If you are a BCTC member you will receive a discount code good for all events. Most events will be chip timed to encourage you to push yourself with out the pressure of a race environment. No medals, No awards, just camaraderie and training fun with a social picnic and corn hole tournament.
Each event will be chip timed with open mats. Participants for each event will have 15 minutes from the stated start time listed to cross the start mats to get a time.
The picnic portion will be Pot Luck. The club will provide Hot Dogs & Hamburgers. The grills will be fired up at 12 noon, if you would like to bring your own items to grill up. If it's easier for you to make a donation rather than bring a Pot Luck item you can do that on this page.

Bowmans Run Swim Run 10 Miles

The Bowmans Tower Run Swim Run starts at the General Green Pavilion in Washington Crossing and runs 3.5 miles north on the towpath... There is a spot where you can drop your buoy and goggles and continue ~2 miles up to up to Bowmans Tower... Get there any way you can, course will not be marked. Touch the tower (honor system) hustle ~2 miles back to where you dropped your swim gear to begin the swim... The swim is approx. 1.25 miles downriver swimming (with the current, it feel like less than a 3/4 mile)... We exit at Jericho Creek, jump back onto the canal, and hustle up for the final 2 miles back to the Finish Line @ General Green Pavilion. -
Short Run Swim Run 6 Miles

The Short Run Swim Run starts at the General Green Pavilion in Washington Crossing and runs 3.5 miles north on the towpath to our path down to the Delaware... The swim is approx. 1.25 miles downriver swimming (with the current, it feel like less than a 3/4 mile)... We exit at Jericho Creek, jump back onto the canal, and hustle up for the final 2 miles back to the Finish Line @ General Green Pavilion. -
