This exciting event marks the 4th year of this community favorite and supports the Anson High Cross Country Program. Runners and walkers of all ages are invited to participate in this family-friendly race, featuring a fantastic course that promises a memorable experience.
Registration is open now, with a deadline to secure a FREE t-shirt by April 27, 2025. Online registration will close on May 7, and race day registration is available for $30, or $35 on the day of the event. Students aged 8-18 can join in for just $15! Packet pick-up starts at 7:30 a.m. on race day, and participants can enjoy water and snacks after the race, along with awards presented shortly after the finish. Whether rain or shine, this event is sure to be a great day for the whole family while helping to grow the Anson Bearcats Cross Country Program. Your support makes a difference!

The Bearcat Pride 5k will help support the Anson High Cross Country Program. This is the 4th Year of the race. Great course! Great Event!
Deadline to register and receive a FREE t-shirt is Sunday April 27, 2025. Online registration ends Wednesday May 7th. Race Day Registration will be $30. $35.00 on Race Day. Students 8-18 is only $15.00. Great family event.
Race will be held rain or shine!
Packet pick-up will start at 7:30 a.m. on race day! Packet pick-up and bathrooms will be located behind First Presbyterian Church. Water and snacks will be provided after the race behind First Presbyterian Church. Awards will be given out soon after race ends also behind First Presbyterian Church.
The Bearcat Pride 5k will help support the Anson High Cross Country Program. Last season, the Anson Bearcats Cross Country program grew to 20 runners. For the first time in over 15-years, the Anson Bearcats fielded both boys and girls teams and competed at the Rocky River Conference Meet and at Regionals.
For the upcoming fall season, the Anson Bearcats will host meets at home and we will host the Mid-West 2A Regionals in Dodson, NC. Yes, we will host the Regionals in Dodson, a few miles west of Mt. Airy.
The new Anson Middle School is being built next to Anson High School. Once completed, we aim to construct a cross-country course connecting the two schools.
