Race day registration will be available for just $30, and the race will go on rain or shine!
The day's festivities kick off with packet pick-up starting at 8:00 a.m. behind First Presbyterian Church, where you'll also find convenient bathroom facilities. After the race, enjoy complimentary water and snacks while celebrating your achievement. Awards will be presented soon after the race concludes, making for a day filled with community spirit and lively competition. Your participation not only helps support the growing Anson Bearcats Cross Country Program but also contributes to the development of future athletic opportunities for local youth. The Bearcat Pride 5k will help support the Anson High Cross Country Program. Deadline to register and receive a FREE t-shirt is May 1st, 2025. Online registration ends Wednesday May 7th. Race Day Registration will be $30.
Race will be held rain or shine!
Packet pick-up will start at 8:00 a.m. on race day! Packet pick-up and bathrooms will be located behind First Presbyterian Church. Water and snacks will be provided after the race behind First Presbyterian Church. Awards will be given out soon after race ends also behind First Presbyterian Church.
The Bearcat Pride 5k will help support the Anson High Cross Country Program. Last season, the Anson Bearcats Cross Country program grew to 20 runners. For the first time in over 15-years, the Anson Bearcats fielded both boys and girls teams and competed at the Rocky River Conference Meet and at Regionals.
For the upcoming fall season, the Anson Bearcats will host meets at home and we will host the Mid-West 2A Regionals in Dodson, NC. Yes, we will host the Regionals in Dodson, a few miles west of Mt. Airy.
The new Anson Middle School is being built next to Anson High School. Once completed, we aim to construct a cross-country course connecting the two schools.
