Beats for a Cure is a non-profit organization that uses music to raise funds to fight various types of cancers. The initial goal was to aid breast cancer research and support, but has grown to assist not only breast cancer, but prostate, multiple myeloma, and for this event, childhood cancer.

Get a chance to run through the Asian Lantern Festival at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo and raise funds that will go to University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Children Hospital. When you register you are given the option to become of a fundraiser or create/join a fundraising team. We will be giving a prize to the top fundraiser. Those funds raised are TAX DEDUCIBLE and go towards University Hospitals Rainbow Babies & Childrens Hospital for childhood cancer. You can have friends, family, and businesses sponsor your run/walk by donating to your page.

REGISTRATION:

Race-day registration/packet pickup begins at 7am across from the Ticket Plaza inside the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo (3900 Wildlife Way, Cleveland, Ohio 44109)

VIRTUAL RUN:

WANT TO PARTICIPATE FROM OUT OF TOWN? YOU STILL CAN! COMPLETE THE 5K RACE OR 1 MILE WALK ON YOUR OWN. RUN OR WALK, OUTDOORS OR ON A TREADMILL YOU CHOOSE! IF YOU WOULD LIKE TO SUBMIT YOUR 5K RESULTS, THE DEADLINE TO SUBMIT TIMES IS SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6.

VIRTUAL EVENT PARTICIPANTS CAN LIVE ANYWHERE! PLEASE FEEL FREE TO INVITE FAMILY AND FRIENDS FROM AROUND THE WORLD TO JOIN YOU.

YOU WILL BE MAILED YOUR SHIRT PRIOR TO RACE WEEK IF REGISTERED BY JUNE 30, 2026. WE ENCOURAGE YOU TO WEAR YOUR SHIRT AND TAKE PHOTOGRAPHS OF YOUR VIRTUAL RUN/WALK. IF YOU REGISTER AFTER JUNE 30, 2026 YOUR SHIRT WILL BE MAILED OUT AFTER THE RACE.

REFUND POLICY:

Sorry, but all entries are non-refundable. Once weve received and processed your entry, you will not receive a refund, you may not give or sell your race number to other people, and entry fees are not transferable to the next years race or any other race.
