Get ready to gear up for an exciting training opportunity at the Bike/Run AND Run Only Training event taking place in Alexandria, Fairfax! Kicking off on Sunday, September 21, 2025, this event is designed for athletes of all levels, whether you're looking to enhance your biking skills or focus solely on running. The initial training sessions will be held at Fort Hunt Park, where participants can join the Bike/Run training from 3:00 PM to 4:15 PM and the Run Only training from 3:30 PM to 4:15 PM, running until November 23, 2025.
As we transition into the winter months, all training will shift to run-only sessions at the Carl Sandburg track from December 7, 2025, to March 8, 2026. Then, from March 15 to May 10, 2026, the program returns to Fort Hunt Park for another round of Bike/Run and Run Only training. Organiser's Description
Please note: Depending on biking interest, we may need to add a second biking group after everyone runs. This mean more skilled/experienced bikers will bike after running as opposed to biking prior to running. If this happens, it is likely everything will shift forward 30 minutes...unless I can find another qualified coach or coaches to split the group. Everything will still need to end by 4:15

Reminder: You are signing up for BIKING and RUNNING. Road bikes are not required. I have some small road bikes for athletes to try to see if it is something they are interested in and you are interested in buying. There is a reasonably good used market for 650 wheel road bikes. You can expect to pay about $200 for the bike and then figure another $300 and the Trek shop can probably get it like new. After your child outgrows it, assuming it is in fairly good shape, I will buy it from you for 70-80% of what you have in it. -
