Starting at 9:00 PM, participants will light up the night on the track around Dade County High School's football field, encouraging families and individuals of all ages to come together for a worthy cause.
Gates open at 8:00 PM, and the first 500 registrants by March 14th will receive a complimentary Blue Ribbon Glow Run shirt. Don't worry if you miss the online registration—there will still be opportunities to sign up on the night of the event! Enjoy some delicious Kona Ice while supporting Dade First-Family Connection, which aims to strengthen families and protect children year-round. Dress to impress in your best glow-in-the-dark attire and be part of this uplifting community event that promises fun, awareness, and a sense of togetherness!

APRIL IS CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH. THE BLUE RIBBON GLOW RUN IS TO RAISE CHILD ABUSE AWARENESS. DADE FIRST-FAMILY CONNECTION AIMS TO HELP FAMILIES MAKE A BIG DIFFERENCE YEAR-ROUND THROUGH SMALL ACTS THAT HELP PROTECT CHILDREN, STRENGTHEN FAMILIES, PROMOTE TRAITS THAT HELP PROTECT FAMILIES, AND ULTIMATELY, PREVENT THE ABUSE AND NEGLECT OF CHILDREN.
THE BLUE RIBBON GLOW RUN WILL BE A FREE EVENT AND PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND FAMILIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND. THIS IS A 1 MILE RUN/WALK/CRAWL.
THE RUN WILL TAKE PLACE ON THE TRACK AROUND THE DADE COUNTY HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL FIELD. GATES OPEN AT 8:00 PM AND THE 1 MILE RACE STARTS AT 9:00 PM.

STATISTICS: As of 2019, the state of Georgia's reported rates of child abuse were 2.2 per 1000 children, and child neglect rates were 2.0 per 1000 children. In that same year, Dade County's reported rates of child abuse were 2.9 per 1000 children, and child neglect rates were 2.6 per 1000 children. Dade County has had a trend of being consistently higher than the state average every year. That's not including the fact that only 30% of abuse is reported. WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
