Join us on Saturday, December 5, 2026, as we make history! Jacob Way Organization is launching the national Bold for Gold Tour right here in Arlington, Texas.

This isn't just a walkits a Community Celebration designed to shine a light on childhood cancer while spreading holiday cheer. We are turning Bob Cooke Park GOLD with a high-energy morning featuring a scenic 3K walk, a lively Community Resource Fair, music, and philanthropy.

A SPECIAL PARTNERSHIP WE ARE PROUD TO PRESENT THIS EVENT IN PARTNERSHIP WITH ARLINGTON PARKS AND RECREATION - EAST RECREATION CENTER. WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR THEIR SUPPORT IN HOSTING THIS COMMUNITY LAUNCH!


EXPERIENCE THE FUN

* THE 3K COMMUNITY WALK: Enjoy a safe, paved 1.8-mile course through Bob Cooke Park. Strollers, walkers, and joggers are all welcome!
"Stuff the Sleigh" Drive: We are parking a massive vehicle at the starting line! BRING NEW SOCKS, BOARD GAMES, OR TECH ACCESSORIES TO STUFF THE VEHICLE. 100% OF ITEMS GO TO LOCAL PEDIATRIC CANCER PATIENTS.
* COMMUNITY RESOURCE FAIR: Before and after the walk, visit the East Rec Center Hall to connect with local businesses, get free samples, and learn about vital community services.
* THE CELEBRATION: Stay for the post-walk party featuring a Hot Cocoa Station, live DJ, and our signature Line Dance Celebration!

    Packet Pickup Race Day: Saturday, Dec 5th starting at 8:00 AM inside the East Library & Recreation Center Gym. Please bring a photo ID or your confirmation email (digital or printed). Parking Primary Parking: Available at the East Library and Recreation Center main lot (1817 New York Ave). Please obey all City of Arlington "No Parking" signs. Strollers & Pets Strollers: YES! This event is 100% family-friendly. The 3K course takes place on the paved concrete trails of Bob Cooke Park, perfect for strollers and wagons. Pets: Outdoors: Leashed, well-behaved dogs are welcome on the 3K walk/run! Indoors: Please note that only Service Animals are permitted inside the Recreation Center Gymnasium for the post-race party and vendor market. If you bring a pet, please plan to have someone stay outdoors with them during the indoor activities. Weather Policy Rain or Shine: The event will go on! Cold/Rain Plan: If the weather is frightful, the party inside will be delightful! We have reserved the indoor gymnasium for our pre-race warm-up, vendor market, and post-race awards to keep everyone warm and dry. In the event of severe weather (lightning/ice), updates will be posted via email and on our social media pages by 6:00 AM on race day. Refund Policy Since this is a charity event benefiting families battling childhood cancer, all registrations are non-refundable, even in the event of weather cancellation. We appreciate your donation to the Jacob Way Organization. Volunteer Opportunities Not a runner? We need you on the "Gold Squad"! We are looking for energetic volunteers to help with the Water Station, Course Marshalling, and the "Stuff the Vehicle" drive. Stuff the Vehicle" Guidelines We are collecting NEW, UNWRAPPED items only. Priority Items: Cozy and Funny socks (all sizes), family board games, headphones, tablets, and craft kits. Please: No stuffed animals (due to hospital infection control rules) and no used items.
