This exciting event invites youth enrolled in grades K-8 from the Bridgewater-Raynham School District, as well as those living in Bridgewater or Raynham, to participate in a spirited one-mile race. The race will be staged on the picturesque grounds of Bridgewater-Raynham Regional High School, with a route that takes runners down the school's roadway before returning to the start.
Parents are encouraged to join their little ones in the K-2 race, ensuring a supportive and enjoyable atmosphere for all participants. Every finisher will receive a commemorative ribbon and certificate, while supplies last, and participants can look forward to fun race swag! With all entry fees generously covered, the only requirement is to register online by May 17th at midnight, as there will be no day-of sign-ups. DISTANCE: ONE MILE
ELIGIBILITY: THE RACES ARE OPEN TO YOUTH WHO ARE ENROLLED IN GRADES K-8, IN THE BRIDGEWATER-RAYNHAM SCHOOL DISTRICT OR WHO LIVE IN BRIDGEWATER OR RAYNHAM BUT ATTEND SCHOOL IN ANOTHER SETTING (Private or home-schooled).
WHERE: THE RACES WILL BE STAGED AT BRIDGEWATER-RAYNHAM REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL. Check in and Day of Race Registration will take place in the high school cafeteria, inside the main entrance. _ALL PRE-REGISTERED ENTRANTS MUST CHECK IN AND PICK UP THEIR RACE NUMBER BY 1:45. _
COURSE: The one mile race will be staged on the BRRHS roadway, starting near the front of the high school, going down the roadway toward the North Street gate, then returning to the start.
PARKING: Please enter the school area from Center Street and park in the lots nearest to the football stadium. No traffic will be allowed on the BRRHS roadway beyond those parking lot entrances, and no access from North Street.
PARENTS: _MAY RUN ALONG WITH OR BEHIND YOUNGER CHILDREN IN THE K-2 RACE ONLY_. (Only the children will wear race numbers and should cross the finish line. Parents should monitor their children to make sure they run the course correctly and in its entirety.)
