Participants will tackle a scenic 3.3-mile loop, kicking off from the main park drive just outside the LeFrak Center. With bib pickup and pre-race festivities beginning at 9 AM, there's plenty of time to gather with fellow community members, enjoy the activities, and prepare for the run.

This inclusive event encourages everyoneβ€”runners, walkers, strollers, scooters, and wheelchairsβ€”to join in the fun, making it a perfect day for families, friends, and local public school supporters! Not only will you enjoy a fantastic day outdoors, but you'll also be contributing to a great cause, as net proceeds from registration fees will support the PTAs of our neediest schools. Organiser's Description

Council Member Shahana Hanif and the PTAs of Brooklyns public schools are coming together for the 16th annual PTA 5K+ run/walk/stroll/toddle/scoot in Prospect Park. The race will take place on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at 10 AM. Bib pickup and pre-race activities will begin at 9:00 AM.

For over a decade now, the PTA Fun Run has been a community day in Prospect Park for local public school communities. Parents, students, and educators have showed up to build community have collectively raised funds for our neediest schools (Net proceeds from your registration fees will go to support PTAs at high need schools).

The Fun Run will be a 3.3 mile loop, starting and finishing on the main park drive just outside the LeFrak Center. The run will start at 10 AM. Bib distribution and pre-race activities will begin inside the LeFrak Center starting at 9 AM. As a fun run, we welcome everyone-- young, old, experienced and not, runners, walkers, strollers, tricycles, scooters, wheelchairs-- all are invited to join!

    The Fun Run will be held rain or shine, except in the case of hazardous conditions such as lightning. Registration pricing is as follows: Single adult: $25 + processing fee Other adults in a group or family: $15 ($10 discount) All children under 18: $5 *Parents please register yourself/adults first, then children. This pricing attempts to balance maximizing fundraising with affordability. However, price should not be a roadblock for any person wishing to participate.
