Get ready for a fantastic week of fun and fitness at the Brooklyn Waldorf School Scootathon and Hoopathon! From April 24 to May 2, 2026, the vibrant community of Brooklyn, Kings will come alive with exciting activities for students and families.

The Scootathon, designed for children in grades 5 and younger, will take place on the scenic Mini Loop in the Nethermead of Prospect Park on Saturday, May 2. This fun-filled athletic event follows the beloved May Fair, making it a perfect way to celebrate spring and community spirit. Meanwhile, the Hoopathon offers an exhilarating overnight basketball experience for middle school students, happening at the Brooklyn Waldorf School from April 24-25. SCOOTATHON is an athletic event for grades 5 and younger, on "THE MINI LOOP" IN THE NETHERMEAD OF PROSPECT PARK, directly following May Fair, on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026. "The Big Loop' has been retired but May Fair, in the morning, continues as an all student / ALL COMMUNITY event.   • Middle School Hoopathon!

    It's the first ever Hoopathon, a companion athletic event of Scootathon just for the middle schoolers. Hoopathon will take on Friday, April 24, during the school day, and continue overnight, with a (chaperoned) sleepover at the school building. Dinner will be available for $8 purchase, and breakfast will be provided. Custom-designed Hoopathon T-Shirts will also be provided to all middle school participants. Open to students in Grades 6, 7 & 8, who will indicate if they want to PLAY BALL as part of the teams that Coach Bell will put together, or whether they will participate in some other capacity (concessions, score keeper, etc.). All Middle Schoolers are welcome! Once all students have signed up, Coach Bell will create TEAMS; students have no choice as to which team they are assigned to by Coach Bell.
