This year, the beloved Scootathon evolves into an exciting athletic event for children in grades 5 and younger, featuring "THE MINI LOOP" in the picturesque Nethermead of Prospect Park. Join us on Saturday, May 2, right after the community-focused May Fair, for a day filled with scooting and joy!
But that's not all! The inaugural Hoopathon, a thrilling basketball sleep-over event for middle school students, kicks off on April 24 and runs through April 25 at the Brooklyn Waldorf School. Middle schoolers are invited to participate by playing basketball or lending a helping hand, while parents can create fundraising pages to rally support. Together, we aim to surpass our ambitious goal of raising $30,000 for our school. Come be part of this exciting week, where community spirit and athleticism shine bright!

SCOOTATHON
This year, we are embracing the organic transformation of Scootathon as an athletic event for grades 5 and younger, on "THE MINI LOOP" IN THE NETHERMEAD OF PROSPECT PARK, directly following May Fair, on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026. "The Big Loop' has been retired. (May Fair, in the morning, continues as an ALL COMMUNITY event.)

This is a new and exciting companion fundraiser just for middle schoolers, a basketball sleep-over event taking place on April 24-25 at Brooklyn Waldorf School. All middle schoolers are invited to sign up, either to play ball or help in another capacity, and we hope parents will work hard to fundraise too. Registration is required.
We all all parents will CREATE A FUNDRAISING PAGE to ask their family, friends and colleagues for sponsorship for their child's scooting or hooping. Together, we hope to surpass our goal of raising $30,000 for our school!

Middle School Hoopathon!

It's the first ever Hoopathon, a companion athletic event of Scootathon just for the middle schoolers. Hoopathon will take on Friday, April 24, during the school day, and continue overnight, with a (chaperoned) sleepover at the school building. Dinner will be available for $8 purchase, and breakfast will be provided. Custom-designed Hoopathon T-Shirts will also be provided to all middle school participants. Open to students in Grades 6, 7 & 8, who will indicate if they want to PLAY BALL as part of the teams that Coach Bell will put together, or whether they will participate in some other capacity (concessions, score keeper, etc.). All Middle Schoolers are welcome! Once all students have signed up, Coach Bell will create TEAMS; students have no choice as to which team they are assigned to by Coach Bell. Once you sign up with the button below, you will be prompted to make the first donation to your own fundraising here. We appreciate you getting the ball rolling with your donation!
