THE 2025 CALVIN CLASSIC 5K & YOUTH FUN RUN IS ON SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27!
This race has both in-person and virtual options. For Grand Rapids locals, run or walk the course with us on Calvin University's enclosed campus. For non-locals, run from wherever you are! Registration remains open through race day.__

* No refunds will be provided, and event transfers are evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
* In case of severe weather, local, state or national emergency, and matters of public health safety, race directors reserve the right to cancel the race without refund and transfer registrations to the virtual race option.
* No pets are permitted on the racecourse.
* Packet Pick-up will be on Friday, 9/26 from 3:30-6 p.m. or Saturday, 9/27 from 7-8:25 a.m. in the Spoelhof Fieldhouse Lobby [https://calvin.edu/map/?place=spoelhof-fieldhouse-complex].

The USATF certified 5K course runs through Calvin's scenic, relatively flat university campus. The 5k race will begin with the handcycle racers starting just before the runners, and walkers starting just behind the runners. Strollers are welcome but must stay at the back of the race. Bicycles, rollerblades, skateboards and animals are not allowed on the course. All participants must be registered and have a race number to participate. Note: If it's decided that an in-person race is not a possibility, we will transfer registrations to the virtual race option. *Each participant receives a race shirt; shirts are youth and unisex sizes. -

Handcycle racers will start just before runners. Handcycle racers must yield to runners in the event that the runners catch up with handcycle racers. Handcyclists, please use the Lake Drive or Burton Street entrances when entering the campus. Handcyclists may park in the circle drive in front of Hoogenboom Gym. *Each participant receives a race shirt; shirts are youth and unisex sizes. -
Youth Fun Run

The Fun Run is for children ages 3-9. The races start and end at the Start/Finish line (Knollcrest Dining Hall). Races are divided by age groups. For race maps and logistics for the Fun Run, visit "Youth Fun Run" in the website navigation. Each participant receives a race shirt; shirts are youth and unisex sizes. Youth Fun Run participants will also receive a participation ribbon and Calvin sticker to commemorate their achievement. -
Virtual 5k

Compete from anywhere in the world! You'll receive a Calvin Classic 5k shirt, bib, and Calvin sticker in the mail so you can participate in your race gear; register two weeks before the race to ensure gear delivery before you run. Share a photo or video of yourself in your race day shirt and bib on social media using the hashtag #CalvinClassic5K! *Each participant receives a race shirt; shirts are youth and unisex sizes. Mailed materials include a t-shirt, bib, ribbon, and stickers. Registrations past the two-week mark will be mailed out post-race. -
Virtual Youth Fun Run

The Virtual Youth Fun Run is perfect for children ages 3-9. Encourage your kids to walk or run anywhere from 100 yards to a quarter-mile (or whatever distance they are most comfortable with). *Each participant receives a race shirt; shirts are youth and unisex sizes. Mailed materials for the Fun Run include a t-shirt, participation ribbon, and Calvin sticker. Registrations past the two-week mark will be mailed out post-race. Some ideas: - set-up "official" start and finish lines - decorate the course with fun handmade items - cheer them on loudly!
