Many communities in Washington and beyond have faced the impacts of a very strenuous wildfire season. Race companies all around, including Evergreen Trail Runs, have been forced to cancel races and run clubs due to poor air quality and wildfires burning across their courses. So with that, we'd like to announce the Cancelled Race Support Group; a community event and wildfire relief fundraiser! This event aims to give back to all the hard working individuals out there fighting fires as well as give thanks for our trail running community that has supported ETR during these tough times.

Sign up for a virtual run and in person community run where all $10 of your registration will be donated to either Watch Duty [https://www.watchduty.org/?utm_source=watch-duty-app] or the Wildland Firefighter Foundation [https://wffoundation.org/]. For the virtual run, $1 of every mile ran between Monday, August 24th - Sunday, August 30th will be additionally donated to either Watch Duty [https://www.watchduty.org/?utm_source=watch-duty-app] or the Wildland Firefighter Foundation [https://wffoundation.org/]. You can choose to donate additional dollars to these organizations upon sign up as well. We will donate a maximum of $2000 between the two organizations.

On Saturday, October 10th, we will host an in person community run. This run will serve as an opportunity to come together as a trail running community and run with like-minded people and reflect on the tough season we've all endured. All paces welcome! The location is TBD so keep an eye on your email for more info after you register. Participation in the in person run is not required to do the virtual run but we'd love to see your smiling face if we can!
