All we ask is that you bring a canned or dry good donation to benefit Urban Ministries, helping to spread the joy of the season to those in need. Over the years, the Greensboro Running and Walking Community has generously donated over 3 tons of food! After you cross the finish line, indulge in some delicious treats, including the beloved pumpkin cranberry chocolate chip pecan cookies made by local baker Lachlan. Whether you're a seasoned runner or just looking to enjoy a leisurely stroll, the Canned Cranberry Sauce 10k is the perfect way to celebrate Thanksgiving morning with friends, family, and community spirit!

Join us Thanksgiving Day morning for the 12th annual running of the Canned Cranberry Sauce 10k Fun Run/Walk! This event is free. We only ask for a canned or dry good donation which will be given to Urban Ministries.
Since the first Canned Cranberry Run, the Greensboro Running and Walking Community has donated over 3 tons of canned and dry goods! WeeDoggie!
There will be goodies for participants after they complete the run/walk!! We'll have our traditional pumpkin cranberry chocolate chip pecan cookies made by Runner "Baker" Dude Jr, Lachlan.
The course is an out-n-back mostly along the Latham Park and Lake Daniel Greenways. This is a fun run/walk. Not quite up to a 10K (6.2 miles). No Worries! The route is an out-n-back, so you can run/walk as far as you'd like then turnaround. There is no official timing and there is no police support on the route. Participants are to observe all traffic signals and signs.

Start Location: Revolution Mill, but we're not running up Yanceyville! We're going to take the new connector greenway to Church Street! WeeDoggie! To access the start area, enter the complex at the Yanceyville St/Textile Dr entrance then head to the far left side of the parking lot. Look for the RunnerDude truck. Start Time: 7:30am. Arrive by 7:15am to allow time to drop off your canned/dry goods. RunGoApp Route link https://routes.rungoapp.com/route/83j94cwz9i Note: Printed Directions will also be available at the start. The run/walk will begin at 7:30am, so arrive by 7:15am in order to drop off your Urban Ministry donations (see needed item list below). The run start is located at the large parking lot at Revolution Mill (entrance to parking lot located at Yanceyville St. and Textile Drive. This is our 12th year in supporting Urban Ministries. Hope you'll join us before you start your Thanksgiving festivities.
