Get ready for an exciting day of fun and competition at the Cape Fear Youth Triathlon Team (CFYTT) Kids Triathlon Race on Sunday, August 23, 2026! Taking place in the vibrant Wilmington, New Hanover, at the Earl Jackson Pool, this event promises to be a fantastic experience for young athletes aged 6 to 18.
Participants will enjoy a flat and fast course designed to accommodate racers of all abilities, ensuring everyone has the chance to succeed and enjoy the thrill of triathlon. The race distances cater to different age groups, with ages 10 through 18 competing in a 250-yard swim, a 4-mile bike ride, and a 2-mile run. For younger athletes aged 6 to 9, the course features a 150-yard swim, a 2.6-mile bike ride, and a 1-mile run. Excitingly, this year introduces a short duathlon for kids under 6, featuring a 25-yard swim (with parent assistance allowed) followed by a 0.5-mile run/walk. Join us for a day filled with camaraderie, fitness, and the spirit of competition!

COME JOIN THE CAPE FEAR YOUTH TRIATHLON TEAM (CFYTT) AS WE HOST OUR KIDS TRIATHLON RACE! THE RACE WILL BE HELD AT THE EARL JACKSON POOL LOCATED IN DOWNTOWN WILMINGTON, NORTH CAROLINA. THE COURSE IS FLAT AND FAST AND WILL BE AN OPPORTUNITY FOR RACERS OF ALL ABILITIES TO PARTICIPATE AND SUCCEED!
