Its time to suit up and choose your sidecape or cloak, superhero or Jedi, Rebel or Resistance. Whether you're flying solo like the Millennium Falcon or bringing your whole crew of defenders, this high-energy, family-friendly event benefits CASA of Central Virginia and supports our mission to advocate for children in foster care.

From the swiftest runners in the galaxy to our legendary Couch Crusaders, there's a place in this adventure for everyone.


male sign 5K RUN: LIGHTSPEED HEROES

For those with the speed of The Flash and the focus of a Jedi, our 5K run is professionally timed and packed with power. Runners will receive a race shirt (or cape), swag bag, and finisher medal. May the Force be with you as you take off at 10:00 AM from the Percivals Island Trail launchpad in downtown Lynchburg.
Note: Start time is slightly later to account for early morning frost on the bridgeturns out even Jedi tread carefully on icy terrain.


female sign 5K WALK: JEDI PATHFINDERS

Prefer to take your mission at a more mindful pace? Our 5K Walk is perfect for walkers who want to suit up and support CASA while enjoying the journey. Youll still receive a shirt or cape, swag bag, and finisher medal, and your time will be officially recorded.
Start time is 10:05 AM.
(No age group awardsthis is a non-competitive walk through the galaxy.)

Combined race cap of 550 across 5K run and walk eventssecure your place in the rebel fleet before registration closes!


male sign KIDS 1 MILE FUN RUN: YOUNGLINGS IN TRAINING

Calling all Padawans (ages 12 and under)! Your mission: complete the 1-mile course and earn your cape and finisher medal. Training begins nowby race day, youll be ready to sprint through hyperspace!
The fun run is untimed and begins at 11:45 AM from Percivals Island Trail.

Wave 1 - Younglings (Ages 12 years old & younger), ADULTS ARE NOT ALLOWED TO RUN WITH THEIR CHILD IN WAVE 1. PARENTS, BE SURE TO PICK UP YOUR SECURITY BRACELET FOR CHILD CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT AT PACKET PICKUP.

Wave 2 - Younglings (12 & under) and a parent (no parent registration needed), may run/walk alongside their young Jedi.* PARENTS, BE SURE TO PICK UP YOUR SECURITY BRACELET FOR CHILD CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT AT PACKET PICKUP.

Wave 3: Strollers and a parent or guardian (no parent registration needed)*

*One additional parent/guardian can be added to a registration with the purchase of a ticket ($5.00) made during registration.

warning Race cap: The combined race cap for the Kids 1 Mile Fun Run is 250. Sign up early to secure your spot in the Jedi Academy!

Please note that the Kids 1 Mile Fun Run is not a timed event. The starting time for each wave will be approximately 1 minute apart.
