Join us for the 2026 Catawba County Hunger Walk on Sunday, October 4th, in the vibrant community of Newton, Catawba. This uplifting event, organized by local organizations including Ashure Ministry, Hickory Soup Kitchen, and The Corner Table, is dedicated to combating hunger and providing essential support to those in need. Participants can choose between two exciting race distances: a 5K and a 1-mile option, making it accessible for everyone!
Starting at 2:00 PM with registration, the event will feature a warm-up session and awards ceremony at 2:45 PM, recognizing achievements such as the Largest Team, Top Team Fundraiser, and Top Individual Fundraiser. Every walker who registers and raises at least $25 before August 30th will receive a commemorative T-shirt. This year’s proceeds will be shared equally among the three organizations, ensuring that every dollar raised goes directly to helping our neighbors facing food insecurity. The Hunger Walk is more than just a fundraiserits a powerful way to bring our community together while raising awareness about the ongoing challenge of hunger in our area.
We humbly ask for your support. Every dollar raised will be divided equally among Ashure Ministry, Hickory Soup Kitchen, and The Corner Table, and every dollar goes directly toward helping feed those who need it most.
