Each October, we walk in memory of our daughter, Charlotte "Charlie" Marion Krol, and in honor of the countless families who carry the weight of pregnancy and infant loss. What began as a small step forward in our grief has grown into a movement of remembrance & support - and this year marks our fourth annual PAIL Walk.

For our 2025 walk, we are proud to support Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep (NILMDTS) - an organization that offers compassionate remembrance photography for families experiencing the loss of a baby. Something we were never offered with Charlie at Stony Brook University Hospital. These gifted photographers provide families with the only physical memories they may ever have of their child. A single session costs around $180, and this year, our goal is to raise enough to gift 25 families the opportunity to receive these priceless photographs.

As of last years walk, each Northwell Hospital on Long Island has been equipped with a Cuddle Cot - a milestone we celebrated with gratitude. This year, we hope to deepen our impact by helping NILMDTS yet again by extending their reach and serve more families during their most vulnerable moments.

This walk is for every family that has said hello and goodbye in the same breath.
