This vibrant event offers two exciting options to celebrate all the amazing moms out there. On Saturday, May 10th, join us for a thrilling 5K Run/Walk that winds through a diverse course featuring roadways, farm roads, and scenic trails, making it perfect for seasoned runners, beginners, and walkers alike.
For those who prefer a more flexible approach, the DIY Anywhere 5K allows participants to run or walk at their convenience from May 3rd to May 11th. Whether you choose to hit the trails, jog around the block, or even run on a treadmill, everyone can join in on the fun, no matter where you are! With a modest entry fee of $15 for adults and $10 for youth and elders, all proceeds will benefit EBCI Senior Citizens. Plus, every participant will receive a Mother's Day 5K shirt and have a chance to win awards in various age categories. So gather your family and friends and make this Mother’s Day unforgettable by participating in a joyful celebration

THE 2025 CHEROKEE CHOICES MOTHER'S DAY 5K RUN/WALK IS OFFERING TWO OPTIONS TO CELEBRATE ALL OF OUR WONDERFUL MOMS.
5K Run/Walk: Saturday - May 10:
Hosted by Cherokee Choices [https://www.facebook.com/CherokeeChoices], the course has a bit of everything - road, farm road, and trails - offering a complete review of the historic site. The course is perfect for seasoned runners, first timers, and walkers.
DIY ANYWHERE 5K: Saturday - May 3 > Sunday - May 11
This Do It Yourself event will allow participants to run or walk at _ANY TIME_ and _ANY LOCATION_ that is convenient for you. Run around the block, on trails, go down to the track (12.5 laps = 5K), or even run on a treadmill. You don't even have to live in WNC - so please invite friends and family both near and far to join the fun. While not required you can submit your time for inclusion in the online just for fun results. We will collect times beginning on Saturday May 3 through Monday May 12. Instructions on "How to submit your DIY Results" are found at the "DIY INFO" tab above.
