This exciting event features two fantastic options to honor all the amazing moms out there. On Saturday, May 10th, lace up your running shoes for the in-person 5K Run/Walk at Kituwah Mound, where you'll experience a delightful mix of road, farm road, and trails that showcase this historic site. It's the perfect setting for seasoned runners, first-timers, and walkers alike.
Prefer to participate at your own pace? The DIY Anywhere 5K allows you to run or walk at any time and location that suits you between May 3rd and May 11th. Whether you choose to hit the local trails, run around the block, or even tackle a treadmill, you can join this fun-filled celebration from anywhere! With affordable entry fees starting at just $10 for youth and elders, and $15 for adults before May 1st, everyone is encouraged to take part. Plus, all proceeds benefit the EBCI Senior Citizens, making this event a wonderful way to give back while enjoying a day

THE 2025 CHEROKEE CHOICES MOTHER'S DAY 5K RUN/WALK IS OFFERING TWO OPTIONS TO CELEBRATE ALL OF OUR WONDERFUL MOMS.
5K Run/Walk: Saturday - May 10:
We're thrilled to be back in person at the Kituwah Mound in Bryson City. Hosted by Cherokee Choices [https://www.facebook.com/CherokeeChoices], the course has a bit of everything - road, farm road, and trails - offering a complete review of the historic site. The course is perfect for seasoned runners, first timers, and walkers.
DIY ANYWHERE 5K: Saturday - May 3 > Sunday - May 11
This Do It Yourself event will allow participants to run or walk at _ANY TIME_ and _ANY LOCATION_ that is convenient for you. Run around the block, on trails, go down to the track (12.5 laps = 5K), or even run on a treadmill. You don't even have to live in WNC - so please invite friends and family both near and far to join the fun. While not required you can submit your time for inclusion in the online just for fun results. We will collect times beginning on Saturday May 3 through Monday May 12. Instructions on "How to submit your DIY Results" are found at the "DIY INFO" tab above.
