Heroes for Hope 5K & Fun Run

Be a hero for the kids! Join us for our fourth annual Heroes for Hope 5K and Kids Fun Run benefitting New Hope Childrens Advocacy Center.
Did you know that 1 in 10 children will be sexually abused before the age of 18? At New Hope, our mission is to restore hope to abused or traumatized children and their families in Blount County. We believe every child deserves a healthy, safe childhood.
Join us at the Maryville Greenbelt Amphitheater on April 29, 2023 as we get moving to raise awareness for child abuse prevention. Use your superpower to take a stand against child abuse, and register for our race today!
This is a LIVE race on April 29, 2023 with a virtual option. 
REGISTRATION: 
Register as an individual or sign up as a team - its easy! 
5K - Adult5K - Child (10 and under) Fun Run - Child (10 and under) VIRTUAL 5K - All Ages Sleeping But Supporting
VIRTUAL OPTION: 
The virtual option may be run anywhere and at any time. Your time must be submitted before 11:59pm on race day (April 29).
TRADITIONAL 5K:
The in-person Kids’ Fun run will start at 8:00am, and the in-person 5K will start at 8:30am on Saturday, April 29, beginning and ending at the Maryville Greenbelt Amphitheater. 
PACKET PICK-UP: 
Packet pick-up will be available on Friday, April 28 from 3-6pm at the Maryville Greenbelt Pavilion next to the Amphitheater.
If you register before Thursday, April 28, your bib will be available at packet pick-up. If you register on Thursday, April 28 or Friday, April 29, your bib will be available at check-in on Saturday, April 29 between 7:00-8:15am at the pavilion. Each 5K bib will be chipped to track your time - please do not fold bibs. 
T-SHIRTS: 
Both in-person and virtual runners will receive a t-shirt as selected in online registration. Registrations submitted after April 12 will not be guaranteed a t-shirt until after race day. (Be sure to register early!) Shirts will be available during packet pick-up / check-in. 
RACE DAY PARKING: 
Public parking for the 5K is located: 
Between Broadway Church Street Across from Dandelions Parking garage between Harper Broadway 
RACE DAY CHECK-IN:
Check-in will take place from 7:00-8:15am at the pavilion next to the amphitheater. 
THE COURSE:

RESULTS: 
Because the course is very narrow in parts, we will have a staggered start time. Each start time will be announced by air horn. Runners will be scored on chip time. Results will be made available after the race on the Results page. Winners of each age group will be announced and awarded at the end of the 5K.
RACE GROUPS: 
10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60
SUBMIT YOUR TIME: 
The virtual race can be run at any time through the end of the live race. Participants can run the 3.1 miles from anywhere and have the option to submit their time via the RunSignup race page under Results. See below for instructions:

GENERAL INFORMATION: 
All children must be accompanied by a legal guardian or care-giver at all times during the event. Children may not be left unattended during or after the Kids’ Fun Run. Please ensure that all pets remain on a leash at all times. This race will be a rain or shine event!
