On Saturday, September 27th, immerse yourself in the challenge of a 6-hour running loop, tackling as many 4.16-mile circuits as you can manage, complete with 728 feet of elevation gain as you conquer the picturesque Mount Hillyer. Each loop begins and ends at our vibrant basecamp, where an aid station stocked with snacks and hydration awaits to keep you fueled and motivated. Once the running wraps up, unwind with a hearty post-run dinner, share stories, and bask in the warmth of community under the stars. Plus, every finisher will receive a medal and a special keepsake to commemorate their journey. This event is a fundraiser for Chingonas on the Run and an opportunity to bring our community together through running and camping.
CHINGONAS ON THE RUN: CAMP & LOOP
WHERE MILES, MOUNTAINS, AND MUJERES MEET.
Join us for a weekend thats more than just miles its a celebration of grit, comunidad, and the kind of campfire connections that linger long after the headlamps switch off.
On SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH, youll take on a 6-HOUR CHALLENGE to complete as many loops as your legs (and ganas) can handle. Each loop is 4.16 MILES with 728 FT OF GAIN, winding through sweet single track trails in the heart of the ANGELES NATIONAL FOREST, summiting MOUNT HILLYER each time you circle. The loop starts and finishes at basecamp where our aid station will be ready to keep you fueled, hydrated, and cheered on every lap, every time.
THE FLOW
FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 26TH:
Camp check-in opens 4:00 PM 7:00 PM (with late check-in available from 7:00 PM 9:00 PM). Find your spot, pitch your tent, settle in under the pines. _Your campground fee is included in your registration_, so all you need is your gear and your ganas and if you dont have gear, no problem! Email us and well connect you with resources to borrow what you need.
SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 27TH:
The loop begins at 6:30 AM, chasing sunrise up Mount Hillyer, weaving through that sweet single track with your Chingona crew. Each loop starts and ends at our basecamp aid station, stocked with snacks, hydration, and all the encouragement you need to keep going, loop after loop. Run your heart out until the clock strikes 12:30 PM see how many summits you can bag before the final bell rings.
When the loops are done, its time for a POST-RUN CELEBRATION. Gather for a hearty dinner meal, swap stories, laugh under the pines, and soak up that Chingona magic. Youll walk away with a FINISHERS MEDAL and a keepsake to remember every brave mile and every unstoppable smile.
SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 28TH:
Morning grab and go breakfast. Option to join morning meditation. Clean-up and depart by 10:30 AM.
WHATS INCLUDED
TRAIL AID: Aid station at the start/finish of each 4.16-mile loop stocked with snacks, hydration, and high-fives.
FOOD & FUEL: Grab-and-go breakfast (Saturday & Sunday morning), a hearty post-run dinner (Saturday night) to gather, feast, and celebrate every brave mile.
FINISH LINE LOVE: A finishers medal _and_ a special keepsake because your miles deserve to be remembered.
POST-RUN CELEBRATION: Stick around for post-run celebration activities laughter, storytelling, and community under the pines.
