Chip Leasure may have left the earth on October 19, 2016 but he has not left our hearts or spirit. He was a great man, husband and father and touched the lives of everyone in the paths he crossed. We will never understand why he left us other than God needed his help in Heaven. Chip had the biggest heart. He touched so many people and was always willing to help anyone out. Being able to help people was one of Chips greatest assets. He went above and beyond to make everyone feel welcome and special. Share the Love" was a phrase he loved and the motto he lived by. The number of people who loved him speaks for itself! Chip loved his family. He and his wife Dianne were married for 19 years. They had two beautiful girls, Bailey 19, Jordan 18 and his favorite buddy, his dog Jake. He supported them in every way and enjoyed watching Bailey cheer and Jordan play softball, attending all of their games. Together they ventured across the country. Travelling was something they enjoyed doing together, creating new experiences and lasting memories. Born and raised near Pittsburgh, the Steel City was always close to his heart. Chips true passion was his love for Pittsburgh Sports! He loved watching the Steelers, Penguins and the Pirates. Chip was a die-hard Steelers fan and ventured to 23 different cities and stadiums to see them play and experience a new city. He was always making new friends along the way. He also loved to run and workout. Once he started running, he never stopped and ran 2 half marathons in his favorite city.Pittsburgh!! Plus numerous 10Ks, 5Ks and mud runs throughout the U.S. He even finished two 200 mile relay Ragnar races. He always challenged himself to do better and always with a smile on his face. He was a true Champion! Today, we gather in his memory and honor his life. Today, we run with Chip on our shoulder, using his strength to propel us through this 5K. Cheers to you Chip, you're our Champion! We will ALWAYS love you!
