Get ready for a festive and fun-filled day at the Christmas on the Canal Winter Sprinter in Canal Fulton, Stark on Saturday, December 7th, 2024. Organised by The City of Canal Fulton, this annual event features a variety of activities including ice carving demonstrations, wood carving demonstrations, crafts for kids, a parade, and a Christmas tree lighting. This year, a new addition to the event is a 1 mile sprint race starting from the City's square on South Canal St. towards the YMCA and back to the finish line. All proceeds from the race will go towards downtown holiday decorations. Participants are encouraged to dress up in Christmas attire and enjoy the support of spectators along the sprint route. Organiser's Description
Every year The City of Canal Fulton hosts a Christmas on the canal event throughout our historic district. We have ice carving demonstrations, a wood carving demonstration, crafts for kids at various businesses, a parade, and we end the evening with our Christmas tree lighting. All new for this year, we are adding a 1 mile sprint from the City's square on South Canal St. towards the YMCA, where they would make the turn heading back to the finish line to complete the 1 mile sprint. All proceeds will be put towards our downtown holiday decorations. We encourage all racers to dress up following a Christmas theme.
This sprint will take place right before the parade. This will be exciting for all racers to have spectators watching and cheering them on throughout their entire sprint. So, bring your families and friends to enjoy the festivities throughout the day and join the race to support our great little City!
