Dive into one of New Mexicos most fun summer race weekends in Santa Rosathe City of Natural Lakes. The City of Lakes Triathlon (COLT) features a crystal-clear open-water swim in Twin Lake, a fast bike through classic high-desert scenery, and a run that brings the energy back to the water and the community. Choose your race
Sprint Triathlon: 750m swim / 12.4mi bike / 3.1mi run
Olympic Triathlon: 1500m swim / 24.9mi bike / 6.2mi run
Relay Teams (Sprint & Olympic): tag in friends for swim/bike/run teamwork
Aquabike (Sprint & Olympic): swim + bike for athletes skipping the run
Swim course: a 750m loop in Twin Lakes, completed once (Sprint) or twice (Olympic)
Kids Splash & Dash (Friday, August 7)
Kick off the weekend with a high-energy Splash & Dash for kidsshort, age-appropriate distances that keep it fun, safe, and confidence-building. Bring the whole family and let the kids have their own finish-line moment. 100-yard swim and a 1-kilometer run for ages 6-10, and a 200-yard swim and a 2-kilometer run for ages 11-13.

A 'Splash and Dash' is a fast-growing sport that combines swimming and running, with no bike required! Children ages 7 to 12 will be eligible to participate. This event is sanctioned USA Triathlon. Children of all experience levels are welcome to participate. The Splash and Dash will not be timed, leaving the focus on participation rather than competition. Distances: *6-8yrs - 50yrds swim & 1/2 mile run *9-12yrs - 100yrds swim & 1 mile run *This will be based on age on Dec 31, 2025 The kids need to be able to swim unassisted. (please note that if participating children do not already have a youth membership, then they will need to purchase upon checkout). Kids will need to wear a swimsuit and bring their own towel and running shoes to participate! -
