Please join us for the second annual Clark Montessori Take the Stairs 5K on Saturday, May 18th! We welcome runners, strollers, rollers, and walkers of all abilities. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Clark Montessori Cross Country Program.

This year, our event will feature a community 5K followed by short field races at the festival. There will be small prizes for winners of the 5K as well as the field races.

COST: The 5K will cost $10 for students, $15 for adults. Field Races will cost $5 for each participant.

COURSE: The 5K will leave from Clark Montessoris campus and head down Erie to Paxton and the Wasson Way. Participants will cross under the Marburg bridge before turning around near Brentwood Avenue and heading back to Clark. Please note that the streets will be open and runners should stick to sidewalks and exercise caution when crossing side streets.

The field races will take place on our turf soccer and football field. The courses will be well-marked with an out-and-back "course".

TIMING: The race will be hand-timed.

PARKING: Participants are encouraged to park along Erie Avenue. The school parking lot will not be accessible.

TIMING AND PRIZES: The 5K course will be clock-timed with a prize for first male, first female, first male student, and first female student. Field Races will be judged at the line with small prizes for each race.

BIB PICKUP: The first 100 people to register for the 5K race will receive a commemorative race bib. Race bibs and safety pins will be available for pick up on the day of the race starting at 11:30.

PAYMENT: Payments can be made in advance on RunSignup or by contacting head coach Nick Meiners at [email protected]. If paying on the day of the race, we can accept cash or electronic payments via Venmo. Please make sure to arrive at least 30 minutes before the start of the race to allow for registration.

_The 5K will coincide with the Clark Community Festival! This special celebration will be held on the Clark Montessori High School campus from 1-5pm and will feature free performances from our steel bands and jazz bands. There will also be games, food, and drinks for sale from our athletic teams, clubs, and local vendors. We hope to see you there!_
