The day kicks off with pre-race festivities at 7:15 a.m., followed by wheelchair participants at 7:40 a.m. and the 1K race at 7:45 a.m. The main 5K race starts promptly at 8:15 a.m., making it a perfect opportunity for runners of all levels to come together in support of a noble cause. With the race being a Peachtree Road Race qualifying event, it's not just about fun; it's about making a difference in the lives of children waiting for their special wishes to come true. Organiser's Description
Every year, Cobb County hosts the Make-A-Wish 5K, a 5-kilometer run the benefits of which are donated to Make-A-Wish Georgia to grant wishes for Cobb County children with critical illnesses. This year, there are many children in Cobb County waiting to have his or her wish granted. It is our hope to grant more wishes and we know that it takes a community to make this happen. This will be the first year that we are incorporating a 1K race for children 4-11 years of age. Bring them on out and let them burn off some energy.
RACE SCHEDULE IS AS FOLLOWS:
Participants assemble on the Marietta Square, pre-race festivities begins at 7:15 a.m.
Walk-up registration begins at 6:30 a.m., ending at 7:30 a.m.

A Phantom Runner is someone who wants to support the 5K but is not able to attend the race. The fee for Phantom Runners is $30 and they must submit a registration form. They will receive a race t-shirt which will be mailed to them after the race. -
