Organiser's Description
The Color Blaze 5k Run/Walk is back and ready to bring color to your life! The Color Blaze 5k will take place on AUGUST 01, 2026 beginning at 8 A.M. This event will be full of color and fun, so be prepared to get messy and have the time of your life! Everyone is welcome to attend this event as there are no age restrictions in place. Each runner will be given a t-shirt, a grab bag with all kinds of fun stuff inside, and an individual color packet. This is an untimed event because we hope people will enjoy the moment more without the pressure of finishing the race quickly.
_Please note - starting this year, t-shirts will be guaranteed for all particpants, however, if you sign up after 07/22/2026 you will receive a generic t-shirt rather than the 2026 t-shirt design._
All proceeds from the Color Blaze 5k Run/Walk will go to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children's Hospital in Iowa City, Iowa. The money donated will be used to bring us closer to the end of childhood cancer. We run for a day to give them hope for a lifetime.

Race prices beginning on April 25, 2026 will be $25 per person. Beginning June 29, 2026 registration will increase to $30 per person. Please note that children 5 and under do not need to register for the event in order to participate, however, if anyone 5 or under would like a t-shirt they will need to register for the event.
