Join us for the exciting Crozet Trails Crew 5K/10K Trail Run and Family Fun Run on Saturday, October 25, 2025, in beautiful Crozet, Albemarle! This vibrant event not only promises a thrilling day of trail running but also serves as the major fundraiser for the Crozet Trails Crew, a community organization dedicated to enhancing the trails and greenways in the area.
Starting at Crozet Park, participants can choose between the challenging 5K and 10K courses, which wind through rustic trails filled with roots and rocks, and finish back at the park. Runners will receive a race T-shirt, and top finishers will earn prizes, including the unique opportunity for first-place winners to have a bridge named in their honor! For families, the shorter Family Fun Run offers a delightful experience on a scenic route, perfect for youngsters—kids under 7 can join for free with a registered adult.

Organiser's Description
This is the major fundraiser for the Crozet Trails Crew, a grassroots community organization whose mission is to simply connect Crozet and Western Albemarle with trails and greenways.
The Course starts in Crozet Park (ON FESTIVAL GROUNDS BY PAVILIONS THIS YEAR) and continues on the Crozet trail to the east of the Park (rustic trail, so plenty of roots, rocks, and ruts), and finishes back at Crozet Park. All runners get a race T-shirt. Course map is posted on crozettrailscrew.org
There will be prizes for overall male and female: first, second and third (first place male and female get a bridge named in their honor!)
There is a shorter option that still gets you out on the trails, the FAMILY FUN RUN. The course will start in Crozet Park and go by the dog park. After the bridge it will turn left on a recent extension of trail(~.75-mile) and back to the park. This section will eventually connect the trail to downtown Crozet. All registrants get a t-shirt (but no timing or places are awarded). Kids under 7 years old can participate in the Family fun run for free if they are accompanied by a registered participant.
There is limited 10K TRAIL RACE! It will loop by Lickinghole basin. It will cross Lickinghole creek (you might get your feet wet) we're currently fundraising for a 50 foot bridge to connect the trails here. IF YOU CAN PLEASE DONATE TO HELP WITH THE BRIDGE. The race goes out by Chesterfield Land and back.
*** POST RACE TRAILS FEST at the finish. With PANCAKE BREAKFAST- MADE FROM SCRATCH! This year the start and finish is at Crozet Park's festival grounds and pavilions. With LIVE MUSIC, FROM SUSIE AND THE PISTOLS ON THE NEW STAGE ! STARR HILL BEER. All of the proceeds will go to Crozet Trails Crew

Packet Pick-up and race day signup is at Crozet Park Pavillion 9am -9:45am on Saturday morning. **There will also be packet Pick-up the 23rd, Thursday before the race at Starr hill 6:30- 830pm. IF YOU WANT TO SWITCH RACES PLEASE COME TO THURSDAY PACKET PICKUP TO LET US KNOW.
