Get ready for an exciting day of fitness and fun at the CVSP Pump & Run on Saturday, April 25, 2026, in beautiful Waterloo, Black Hawk! This vibrant event features both a 1-mile and a 5K race, perfect for participants of all ages and skill levels. For the fourth consecutive year, the Cedar Valley SportsPlex will host this unique race that combines physical activity with a health-focused community experience.
Leading up to the race, join us for a free public health expo on Friday night during the pump and packet pickup. This is a fantastic opportunity to engage with local businesses, organizations, and non-profits, highlighting the best of the Cedar Valley. Plus, thanks to generous sponsorship, kids aged 1-12 can participate in either the 1-mile or the 5K at no cost!
Want to add a little extra challenge? Try out the Pump-N-Run format! Bench press and bicep curl a percentage of your body weight at the health expo to earn time reductions for your 5K. For every repetition completed, you'll get a 10-second deduction off your race time. If you prefer a traditional run, you’re welcome to join without the pumping. Don't miss this

The Cedar Valley SportsPlex Pump and Run 1-mile & 5K is back for year four! This event also include a free public health expo on Friday night during the pump and packet pickup. The goal of the health expo is to let the public interact with as many of the amazing businesses, organizations, and non-profits in the Cedar Valley as possible.

HOW DOES THE PUMP-N-RUN WORK?
