The event will start at the trailhead on Bloomsbury Road and cover a total distance of 8 miles, with the option to turn around at any time for a shorter ride. Participants are encouraged to support the cause by donating $10-$20 along with their registration fee to help fund the purchase and installation of public bike maintenance stands along the trail. Organiser's Description
Join us for the Dahlgren Trail's first ever bike event - the Trailblazer! This friendly, community bike ride begins at the trailhead located at 10431 Bloomsbury Road. The ride turns around 4 miles later at 9274 Comorn Road and returns to the starting area, for a total of 8 miles. Anyone not wishing to ride this distance can turn around and return to the starting area at any time.
To better serve our community's bike riders, the Friends of the Dahlgren Railroad Heritage Trail, a 501c3 non-profit organization, is conducting this event as a fundraiser for the purchase and installation of public bike maintenance stands along the trail.
