Participants will face the ultimate test of endurance with ten 5k races over 24 hours, kicking off at 8 am on Saturday and continuing every 2.5 hours until the final race wraps up by 8 am on Sunday.
With a scenic loop course designed for both excitement and challenge, runners can look forward to five delicious meal breaks, including hot food and plenty of snack options throughout the event. Can you survive the Death by 5k Challenge?
Ten 5ks in 24 hours.
The first 5k starts at 8 am and subsequent 5ks start every 2.5 hours.
5k start times are as follows: 8 am, 1030 am, 1 pm, 330 pm, 6 pm, 830 pm, 11 pm, 130 am, 4 am, 630 am. The final 5k must be completed by 8 am on Sunday.
The Vegas edition of DB5k will take place at Henderson's beautiful Cornerstone Park. The 5k course will be the same for each 5k and will be a loop with a short out and back spur, all on paved trails.
There will be 5 meals, each including hot food, served over the course of the event. Meal times will be 830a, 130p, 630p, 1130p, and 420a. There will be plenty of snack food throughout the event also.
Registrants will receive a great tri-blend race shirt along with race swag, and finishers will receive the coveted custom finisher's coffin.
There will be no on-course aid station, so runners will want to carry a handheld or other hydration equipment.
Participants will be allowed to set up tents in the big green space near the start/finish.
Participant limits: Initially, we will have 200 spots open for registration. After those 200 fill up, anyone wishing to register will be placed on the waitlist. However, this is not guaranteed, so don't wait to get signed up!
Death by 5k takes place in Mississippi, Arkansas, Alabama, Iowa, Tennesee, Florida, New Mexico, Oregon, Oklahoma, and Texas. More venues will be scheduled in 2026.
