The DFW Summer Series is a beloved annual tradition for mountain bikers across North Texas, featuring a thrilling 3.1-mile short track course that will challenge riders with its technical singletrack, winding turns, and exciting creek and bridge crossings. Participants can look forward to racing under the summer sky, with age categories calculated based on the participant's age at the end of the year, ensuring fair competition for all. With exciting start times for Juniors at 6:00 PM, Women at 6:30 PM, and Men, Singlespeed, and Ebike racers at 7:15 PM, this event is designed for bikers of all ages and skill levels to enjoy. Organiser's Description
The DFW Summer Series is an annual favorite for all mountain bikers in North Texas. For the 2026 season we are headed to Big Cedar Wilderness trail in Dallas Texas. Races are held on Thursday nights ALL summer long.

FORMAT
Races will be mass start on a short track course of 3.1 miles in length. Most categories will do multiple laps of the course. Big Cedar is known for it's technical singletrack and punchy climbs, but we have found a great short track course that is flat, fast and will be a ton of fun. This course will test riders with tight corridors, winding turns and plenty of rocks and roots. Watch out! There is a technical creek and bridge crossing towards the end of each lap.
All AGES are calculated based on the participant age at the end of the year (12/31/2026). This is done so that all participants will race within the same category or age bracket for the full series.

COURSE MAP
The 2026 DFW Summer Series presented by Sun & Ski Sports will race on an event only short track course starting and ending from near the Patriot Pavilion at Big Cedar. PLEASE be respectful of the Mountain Creek Church property.
