The River Hills/Lake Wylie Lions Club (RHLW Lions Club) is proud to host the annual Diabetes Run for Life on Saturday, May 11, 2024.
One hundred percent of the net proceeds support The Lions Club's efforts on behalf of Type I Childhood Diabetes.
The event will include a 10K and 5k Run and a 1-Mile Family Fun Walk. eye examination and diabetes screening stations, and the author of the award winning diabetes book “Sweetie”. The 5K run and 1-mile family fun walk will be held in the lakeside community of River Hills in Lake Wylie, S.C. Runners will love the challenging course that offers rolling hills, tree lined roads, and lake views. Families will be able to walk a course that offers stroller-friendly sidewalks to make their day enjoyable. The funds raised by Diabetes Run For Life will allow the Lions Club to sponsor children with Type I Diabetes to camp. The camp is designed to help the children understand how to live and thrive with this frightening disease. River Hills / Lake Wylie Lions Club is one of the largest and most active Lions Clubs in the Carolinas. We support over 30 charities through our Run for Life, Golf Tournament, Community Directory, Christmas Tree Sales, Pancake Breakfast, and the generous donations from our membership.Our Goal is simple, “Do More Good NOW”! Join us in sending children to camp!
