With a race distance of 5K for runners and a 1K option for walkers, this event is both accessible and enjoyable for everyone. Registration is $35 for pre-registered runners and $30 for walkers, with day-of prices slightly higher. All proceeds benefit the DICK's Sporting Goods Foundation Sports Matter program, supporting youth sports initiatives across the country. DICKS House of Sport is hosting our 2ND ANNUAL 5K RUN AND 1K WALK at PNC Field in Moosic on Saturday, May 17th at 8:30am!
Runners and walkers of all ages are welcome at this event. This is not just a race but a fun community event where all participants and families will get the opportunity to interact with local vendors, play games in our activity area, capture the moment at our photobooth and more! All while raising money for a great cause.
The race begins at 8:30 AM on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at PNC Field in Moosic. Vendors will be there until the event concludes.
*Please note that race swag will be guaranteed for the first 100 pre-registered participants who signed up. Later participants will be contacted to pick up their items the week after the race at DICKS House of Sport at the Viewmont Mall in Scranton.
Race proceeds benefit the DICKS Sporting Goods Foundation Sports Matter program, a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation with a mission to inspire and enable sports participation. These funds fuel grants that are given back to our local community!
SPORTS CHANGE LIVES
We believe that sports change lives. In addition to physical and mental health benefits, sports have the power to change our perspectives, our character, and our communities for the better. This belief has guided DICKS Sporting Goods and The DICKS Sporting Goods Foundation since the beginning but not everyone has the same access to play. Through grants and other support, The DICKS Foundation helps under-resourced 501c3 organizations, schools, and community teams across all 50 states provide opportunities for youth to play sports.
PACKET PICK-UP: There will be a packet pick-up for all pre-registered runners from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Friday, May 16th, 2025 at DICKS House of Sport. (400 Viewmont Mall, Scranton, PA, 18508) or can be picked up on race day beginning at 7am at PNC Field
COST: $35 for pre-registered runners and $40.00 for day of registrants
$30.00 for pre-registered walkers and $35.00 for day of registrants
Race Start: 8:30 AM
DAY OF REGISTRATION/PACKET PICK-UP: 7:00 AM to 8:00 AM
Awards: Begin at 10:00 AM
Overall 1st, 2nd and 3rd will receive awards. The top males and females in the below age groups will win awards.
