Get ready for an exciting day of fitness and community spirit at the District Dash 5K on Saturday, May 9, 2026! Taking place at the beautiful Coligny Beach on Hilton Head Island, this vibrant event encourages students, families, and community members to come together to support healthy habits and wellness. Participants can choose to represent their school as they run, walk, or dash through the scenic course.
The event features a 5K race starting at 9:10 AM, and for the younger participants, a special 0.5-mile Dash for elementary students aged 7 and under will kick off at 9:00 AM. Not only will participants enjoy a fun-filled day, but the top three schools with the highest participation will also receive funding to support wellness programs. Plus, all registered participants are guaranteed a race shirt when they sign up by April 20, 2026, and medals will be awarded to the top three finishers in each age division. Join us for this fantastic celebration of fitness and community on May 9th!

The Beaufort County School District (BCSD) is excited to host the District Dash 5K on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Coligny Beach, Hilton Head Island. This community event is designed to promote exercise, wellness, and healthy habits across all schools.
Event Overview
Students, families, and community members are encouraged to participate alongside their school groups. When registering, participants can choose which school they are supporting. Families with students at multiple schools may select more than one.
The top 3 schools with the most overall race participation will receive a wellness funding prize to support their schools MUSC Wellness Program.
0.5 DASH for Elementary Students ages 7 and under: A new half-mile race just for elementary school participants. Registration required. Start time: 9:00 AM.
Brooks Marathon Kids Partnership: Elementary schools using the free Marathon Kids tracking program through PE, recess, or running clubs can log miles throughout the year. Students who complete a full marathon (26.2 miles) during the 202526 school year will be recognized at District Dash. The school with the most Marathon Kids participants will also receive a portion of race proceeds as a wellness donation.
Buddy Run/Walk: High schools with a Buddy Club for exceptional students are invited to highlight partner pairs during the event.
