Organiser's Description
Downingtown Good Neighbor Day benefits the Fire and rescue squads within the Downingtown Area School District. Good Neighbor Day is an all-day event that starts with the Run for Life 5K, 10K, 15K or 5K Freedom Walk. Approximately 2,000 athletes participate each year. Throughout the day you can enjoy fabulous food, visit 80-100 craft exhibitors or simply enjoy one of the many activities scheduled for the day. The day is capped off with a Fireworks Grand Finale that starts at dusk.

Kids! Put on your running shoes and come on down to Kerr Park for you very own race! The GND Kid's K is a 1 Kilometer Fun Run/Walk for kids 12 and under. To keep things fair, our competitors will be separated by age. The youngest kids go first, followed by the older ages. All competitors will receive a medal and t-shirt. -
Big Wheel Race (KID ONLY EVENT)

Bring your Big Wheel, Tricycle, Green Machine and/or Kiddie Car of any design and race down the gentle slope of the Pennsylvania Avenue Brandywine Bridge (about 100 yards). Kids from 2 to 10 will race for 4th of July Glory in this Good Neighbor Day Classic!
