We are thrilled to host the first-ever 5k Run/Walk in honor of our beloved Dr. Mary! Below you will find details for Saturdays event. We cannot wait to see you there for a day of fun, running, and remembering Dr. Mary.

The DJ will start at 8:00 and the Kids Zone will begin at 8:30.

Parking is limited, so we encourage carpooling when possible. Park anywhere in the West Goshen Park parking lot. We also have overflow parking at HavPak. Follow the CVIM event signs to the amphitheater, pavilion, and check-in tents.

Opening remarks begin at 8:45, and the race will begin promptly at 9:00. Runners should head to the starting line prior to the 9:00 start. The walk will begin at 9:05 at the path closest to the amphitheater in the park.

Please be aware: The township will not allow walkers on the race route, so if you plan to walk, you must do so in the park.

Awards will be held at 9:45 and prizes will be given out for first place in each age division, best costume, and best team costume! We want you to look your best while you run your best!

We are offering tours of CVIM from 10:15-11:00, so follow signs to the CVIM facility to participate.

Community Volunteers in Medicine welcomes community members, patients, volunteers, and all who want to honor Dr. Mary Wirshup to the 5k Run/Walk/Family Fun Day. For those who wish to honor Dr. Mary, creative costumes are encouraged but not required! Prizes will be awarded to runners in several categories including best costume and best team costume.



The proceeds from this event will benefit the Dr. Mary Brennan Wirshup Endowment Fund at CVIM. This endowment aims to create long-term sustainable funding for one of the most critical positions at CVIM our Medical Director. The endowment honors Dr. Marys legacy as a friend to every patient and volunteer, a passionate advocate for healthcare access for all, and an extraordinarily skilled, compassionate physician.



All event costs will be covered by a friend, and all event revenue will be matched by an anonymous donor.
