As a cherished tradition of the Dallas Running Club, which has been fostering the local running community since 1969, the Bloomin' 4-Miles race embodies the spirit of camaraderie and passion for fitness. With free registration for DRC members and a nominal fee of $20 for non-members, this event is an excellent opportunity for both seasoned runners and newcomers alike to participate in a heartwarming community experience. Don't forget to arrive early for bib pick-up between 6:15 a.m. and 7:20 a.m. After crossing the finish line, stick around for awards honoring overall winners and age group champions. WELCOME TO DRC'S BLOOMIN' - 4 MILES
The Dallas Running Club ("DRC" or "Club") was created in 1969 as a grassroots running club to build and support the Dallas running community. Tal Morrison was the founder and he started the Club by stopping runners he saw out on White Rock Lake and getting their contact information to invite them to join him for a run. The Dallas Running Club still remains a grassroots running club serving the Dallas running community for over 50 years. The Club offers foir club races, of varying distances, and two half marathons a year. The half marathons help fund the Tal Morrison Scholarship Fund. This is a scholarship that was created in honor of the Clubs founder who had a passion for health and fitness. The scholarships provide assistance to graduating students that have an active participation in their schools cross-country running program.
While DRCs races may be small but they are full of heart. DRC is a one hundred percent volunteer organization. The Club is a success because of those who choose to give of their time to the Dallas running community. We are happy you are here to join us for a race and hope you consider volunteering.

General Race Notes
* Bib Pick-up occurs race morning at Flag Pole Hill, 6:15a.m. - 7:20a.m.
* YOU ARE ENCOURAGED TO ARRIVE EARLY TO ENSURE BIB IS PICKED UP BEFORE CUT OFF TIME.
* Race Day registration WILL NOT be available.
* Awards will be given to overall winners as well as age group awards (10 year increments).
* Awards WILL NOT be mailed, you need to be in attendance to receive your award. Arrangements for pick-up at 2025 DRC race events may be made.
* Strollers are permitted, but for safety we ask that you start at the back and keep to the right while on the course.
* The course is NOT PET FRIENDLY due to insurance restrictions.
* Parking is available at Flag Pole Hill and Norbuck Park. Please do not block drive ways, other cars or walk ways.
* In order for DRC to provide free Club Races for members and discounted fee for non-members there is no swag (i.e. no race shirt or finisher medal).
