Join us on January 10th, 2026, for the Driveway Doc: Matt Roberson Memorial 5K in Piedmont, Anderson, as we come together to honor the incredible life and legacy of Dr. Matt Roberson. This uplifting event celebrates the kindness and dedication of a cherished community member and orthopedic surgeon, who was known for his unwavering support of young athletes and neighbors alike. The race will kick off at 2 PM at the Powdersville YMCA, and participants will have the chance to run for a great cause while supporting Let There Be Mom and the Powdersville YMCA, organizations that were close to Matt's heart.
With a variety of age group categories, awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers overall, as well as within each age group. Celebrate community spirit and the values that Dr. Roberson exemplified by joining us for an inspiring day filled with camaraderie, remembrance, and purpose. Don’t miss this opportunity to make a difference and keep Matt's legacy alive!

THE DRIVEWAY DOC: A TRIBUTE TO DR. MATT ROBERSON
_JOIN US IN HONORING THE LIFE OF DR. MATT ROBERSON, A BELOVED POWDERSVILLE/PIEDMONT COMMUNITY MEMBER AND ORTHOPEDIC SURGEON._
Matt was renowned for his unwavering kindness and dedication to helping others. His generosity extended far beyond the operating room, as he often provided medical care and advice to his neighbors, particularly the young athletes from the nearby Wren Youth Association, often directly from his driveway. Matt showed what it means to be kind and to serve his neighbor.
Tragically, Matt passed away from colon cancer in January, leaving behind a grieving family and a community in shock. To honor his legacy, we are hosting the "Driveway Doc: Matt Roberson Memorial 5K." This event aims to celebrate Matt's life and continue his spirit of giving by supporting Let There Be Mom and the Powdersville YMCA, two organizations that were very close to Matts heart. Let's come together to remember a remarkable man and the character traits that we should all strive to emulate.
