This year's race introduces chip timing for accurate results and is the fourth annual event in the Mag 7 Series, designated as a "Hidden Gem," offering participants a chance to earn bonus points. Registrants by September 9 will receive a stylish race T-shirt, and there will be awards for overall and age group winners, along with random drawings for exciting door prizes. Plus, runners have the chance to "Ring that Bell" for breaking any race records! Organiser's Description
5K race for runners and walkers with a free kids' pre-race 1-mile fun run. Fun run starts at 8:00 AM and 5K at 8:30 AM. Flat, out and back course on Karst Park Greenway Trail. NEW THIS YEAR - we will have chip timing provided by AB Timing. Fourth annual race and part of the Mag 7 Series. This year designated as Mag 7 "Hidden Gem" (5 series bonus points for completing). T-shirts are available for entrants who register by no later than September 9. Overall and age group awards and random drawings for door prizes after the race for both 5K runners and walkers. "Ring that Bell" feature (including special prize) for anyone breaking the overall or any age group record (male and female). Names of those individuals holding current records and their times will be posted near start. Proceeds, after costs, will be used to sponsor future Ellettsville sporting or recreational events. Parking for the race will be at the west side of the Ferrellgas office parking lot (701 E. Temperance Street), Edward Jones (5933 IN-46), Ellettsville Dental Center (5915 IN-46), Campbell's Park and Marci Jane Lewis Park (105 South Park Street). You can also park in the empty lot east of the funeral home on East Temperance Street. Do not park in the Peoples State Bank parking lot.
