This unique endurance running event invites participants to tackle a fixed 4.2-mile loop every hour, on the hour. The thrill lies in the race format: runners must complete the loop within the hour to earn the opportunity to start again. If you miss the cutoff or choose to step back, your race comes to an end. The excitement builds as the event continues until only one runner remains standing or the time window concludes. To keep the adrenaline pumping, the time cut-off will be reduced every few hours, challenging even the most seasoned athletes. Join fellow endurance enthusiasts for this unforgettable experience filled with camaraderie, determination, and the stunning trails of Bethpage State Park!
Organiser's Description
ENDURE Last Man Standing is a Long Island endurance running event using a Last Man Standing format. Runners complete a fixed 4.2-mile loop every hour, on the hour. Finish the loop within the hour, and you earn the chance to start again. Miss the cutoff or decide youre done, and your race ends. The event continues until one runner remains or the event time window concludes. To amp things up, every few hours we will lower the time cut-off.
The course will use designated park trails at Bethpage State Park, along with a finish area and aid station.
