The route takes you through scenic views, starting from the cemetery, turning onto S. Park Dr., and looping back via the Market Street Bridge Sidewalk. And with a fabulous weather forecast of sunny skies and a high of 70 degrees, it promises to be a perfect fall afternoon! After the race, join us for a festive after-party featuring delicious El Diablo Burritos, refreshing beverages, and great company. Don’t miss out on this uplifting event that combines fitness, fun, and community spirit! In case of rain, the event will be rescheduled to October 26. Parking is available near the Delaware Ave. front entrance, making it easy for everyone to join in the

Organiser's Description
The 9th Annual Eternal Rest 5k run/walk will be held on 10/12/2024. Funds from the race and corporate sponsors help us maintain the beautiful, historic cemetery grounds. Day of registration starts at 3:00pm in the Wilmington & Brandywine Cemetery, 701 Delaware Ave., Wilmington DE. Race starts at 4:00pm in the lower section of the cemetery. the course is a fast flat race except for the uphill to finish line!
The weather forecast for Saturday 10/12 looks fabulous! Sunny with a high of 70! Perfect fall afternoon to enjoy the 5k run/walk!!
Participants will run/walk out of cemetery turning right onto S. Park Dr., left onto the Market Street Bridge Sidewalk, left onto N. Park Dr. turning around before the Park Condominium and return back to finish line in the cemetery
The after-party starts as soon as first returning participants arrive back to the front of cemetery. Enjoy El Diablo Burritos, beer, wine or soda.
