The adventure begins with a hike from Aspen to Crested Butte on July 20th, followed by a return trek to Aspen on July 21st. Each participant is encouraged to raise a minimum of $1,500, ensuring that your efforts go directly toward making a significant impact in the fight against human exploitation. With experienced team leadership providing resources and support, you’ll be empowered to embrace this challenge and contribute to a cause that truly matters. We invite you to be a part of something bigger than yourself. Freedom Fighters are a community of people passionate about ending human exploitation through prevention, response, and recovery. By joining the Expedition RISE Maroon Bells , YOU are a part of making someones freedom story possible.
Together, the Maroon Bells team will train for 5 months, the team collectively will fundraise $25,000*, and trek approximately 28 miles in 2 days. Supported by experienced team leadership, you will receive resources and encouragement through your personal training and fundraising experience.
Freedom Fighters will trek through the Maroon Bells - Snow Mass Wilderness in Colorado in recognition of the ability we have to RISE and make a difference in human exploitation. The team will hike from Aspen to Crested Butte on July 20th 2026, and will hike back to Aspen on July 21, 2026.
Each participant is expected to raise a minimum of $1,500.
$100 NON REFUNDABLE deposit to reserve your spot OR PAY IN FULL. If securing with deposit, the registration balance will be due February 14, 2026.
Remaining registration is partially refundable (50%) before March 15. Beginning March 16, registrations are non refundable.

July 19 ~ Spend the day in Aspen acclimating to the higher Colorado elevation. July 20 ~ Hike from Aspen to Crested Butte July 21 ~ Hike back to Aspen via an alternate route. July 22 ~ Drive to Glenwood Springs spending the day enjoying their natural hot springs while sharing personal highlights and challenges from this amazing 2 day hike experience! July 23 ~ Drive back to Denver and return home You are responsible for your individual food, transportation to/from Denver International Airport and car rental. All registrants will be asked to fundraise as these hikes are a celebration of funds raised to fight human trafficking and exploitation. **NOTE This is a higher elevation hike.
