The race kicks off at the bustling corner of E. Main and S. Railroad, leading participants on a scenic route that winds south on S. Railroad. Runners will enjoy a picturesque 1.5-mile turnaround at the bottom of the hill before making their way back to the finish line.
With a registration fee of just $30, which includes a shirt for those who sign up by May 24th, participants can look forward to friendly competition and the chance to win awards at the 9:30 AM presentation at Thiel Park's gazebo. Awards will be given to the overall male and female winners, as well as age group awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in categories ranging from 7 & under to 80+. Organiser's Description
RACE STARTS AT THE CORNER OF E. MAIN AND S. RAILROAD. RUNS SOUTH ON S. RAILROAD AND TURNS LEFT AT GOV MOORE ST AND THEN RIGHT ON TRUAX RD. THE TURN-AROUND IS ABOUT 1.5 MILES AT THE BOTTOM OF THE HILL. THE RETURN ROUTE IS BACK ALONG TRUAX RD UNTIL YOU GET TO S. MCNEIL AVE AT WHICH TIME RUNNER VEERS TO THE RIGHT UNTIL RUNNER GETS TO MIAN ST. AT WHICH TIME RUNNER TURNS LEFT AND RUNS DOWNHILL TO THE FINISH.

A wonderful small-town event that bring the community together and benefits the local high school cross country team. The course passes through rolling Palouse hills, but the road itself is flat. Very nice for a 5k out-and-back race, and when you cross the finish line the community is there cheering you on!
