Get ready to shine at the FGSO Glow 5K Run and 1 Mile Walk on Thursday, November 6, 2025, in beautiful Tahlequah, Cherokee! This exciting event kicks off at 5:30 PM at The FIT at Northeastern State University, where participants of all ages and fitness levels are encouraged to join in the fun. Whether you're sprinting, strolling, or dancing through the glow-lit course, you’ll be part of an unforgettable evening filled with vibrant colors and high energy.
Participants can choose between a 5K run for $30 or a 1-mile walk for $25, and the first 50 registrants will receive a complimentary T-shirt! Runners will illuminate their path with glowsticks and neon attire while enjoying dazzling displays set up by various student organizations on campus. Everyone who crosses the finish line will take home a medal, and prizes will be awarded for the top three finishers in the 5K category. Don’t miss the chance to join in the pre-race festivities starting at 4 PM, featuring fun yard games and an opportunity to connect with the community. AS THE SUN SETS, THE RACE LIGHTS UPLITERALLY!
Join us for the first-ever sparkles FGSO Glow 5Ksparkles a fun, safe, family-friendly event open to all ages and fitness levels! Whether you're running, walking, or dancing your way through the course, everyones invited to GLOW!
WHEN: November 6, 2025
COST: $30 for 5k / $25 for 1 mile walk
RACE TIME: 5:30 pm
LOCATION: The FIT at Northeastern State University (530 N Oak Ave)
THE FIRST 50 PEOPLE TO REGISTER WILL RECEIVE A FREE T-SHIRT!
Runners will illuminate the course with glowsticks, neon colors, and high energy. The race will begin and end in front of The FIT and will consist of three full loops within the Northeastern State University campus.
RUN, GLOW, REPEAT!
Runners will enjoy seeing fun glowing displays, representing other student organizations around campus, and have the opportunity to vote for their favorite one!
Whether you are a running enthusiast or this is your first 5k, FGSO Glow is sure to be an unforgettable experience!
Everyone who crosses the finish line will receive a medal and there will be a special prize to acknowledge overall 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place 5k finishers.
_Although there will not be a professional timing company present, we will have someone at the finish line recording everyone's time. _
