Kicking off on Sunday, June 14, 2026, in the charming town of Carrboro, Orange, this unique challenge invites participants to run a total of fifty 5Ks before the year wraps up. Whether you choose to tackle these distances solo, with friends, or at one of the many organized events and training programs, the fun is in the journey!
Throughout the year, participants can track their progress using apps like Strava or Garmin and visit their Home Fleet Feet Store to validate their runs. Plus, the first 50 finishers will be rewarded with a $50 gift certificate to spend at Fleet Feet Carrboro & Durham, and those who register early will receive a special birthday party favor bag! So, lace up your running shoes and join in the celebration of fitness and community in Carrboro!

TO CELEBRATE FLEET FEETS 50TH ANNIVERSARY, COME RUN FIFTY 5KS WITH US! REGISTRATION OPENS SUNDAY, JUNE 14 AT 7 AM!
The premise is simple, run fifty 5Ks before the end of the year. You can run them on your own, with your friends, at one of our events or training programs, on vacationwhenever and wherever! Throughout the challenge youll have a chance to win lots of prizes from our local community partners and Fleet Feet vendors! And for the ultimate prize, the first 50 finishers of the challenge will get a $50 gift certificate to Fleet Feet Carrboro & Durham.
And in true party fashion, if you're one of the first 50 registrants youll receive a special Fleet Feet Birthday Party Favor bag!
HERE'S HOW IT WORKS:
* Sign up and commit to a "Home" Fleet Feet Store (Carrboro, Durham - Southpoint, or Durham - Ninth Street)
* You will be issued a Fifty 5Ks Punch Card that will stay at your home Fleet Feet Store
* Run/walk/hike your 5Ks on your own, at one of our events or training programs or with a local run club and track your workout on Strava, Garmin, Coros, Apple or other activity tracking app
* Come into your Home Fleet Feet Store to validate your 5K activities - you can show us your activites or screenshots of your activities and we'll punch your Fifty 5Ks card
* You have between now and the end of the year to complete all fifty 5Ks
* The first 50 finishers of this challenge will win a $50 gift certificate to spend at one of our three local stores!
THE FINE PRINT:
* Limit one 5K per day. You can run or walk more than a 5K per day, but that activity will count for one punch
* You can stop by your home store as often as you'd like to validate your activities
* The first 50 finishers is based on validation, not necessarily the date of activity completion (so, run 5K number 50 from one of the stores and let us celebrate you!)
* The $50 gift certificate can only be redeemed in-store at Fleet Feet Carrboro, Fleet Feet Durham - Southpoint, or Fleet Feet Durham - Ninth Street and must be used by the end of the year
