Join us for the 11th Annual Firecracker 4 Miler organized by Newberry College Track & Field / Cross Country on July 4th, 2025, at Laurel Hill County Park in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. This exciting event offers a 4-mile race through the scenic trails of the park, with a kids race following shortly after. Race packets will be available on-site starting at 7:30am, so be sure to arrive early and stay hydrated for the hot and muggy weather. After the race, enjoy music, hotdogs, and cold beverages with friends and family. Proceeds from this event support the Newberry College Track & Field / Cross Country program. Don't miss out on this festive celebration of independence and fitness!
Organiser's Description
The 11th Annual Firecracker 4 Miler will once again be held at the beautiful Laurel Hill County Park in Mount Pleasant South Carolina on July 4th, 2025! Past years events have been a blast, and this years event will be even better! So come on out and celebrate your independence by running down the shaded trails of Laurel Hill County Park and after the race enjoying music, hotdogs, and cold beverage with all your friends and family.
* Race packets will be be on site race day morning starting at 7:30am
* Kids race will begin after the bulk of the 4 mile runners are in... usually around 9:45am or 10am
* HYDRATE!!! It will be hot and muggy... get your fluids in before you race
* Enter the park only through the Hwy 41 entrance / 1400 Highway 41, Mt. Pleasant, SC
* Proceeds from this event go to support Newberry College Track & Field / Cross Country THANK YOU for your support!!
